Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Nintendo Switch Release Slated for a September Release
The Dragon Ball Xenoverse titles provided a breath of fresh air to a stagnant franchise when it came to the gaming side of the popular series. Both Xenoverse and its sequel received fantastic reviews and the elements within the revamped gameplay were very much appreciated by the Dragon Ball fandom. The team behind the sequel had previously mentioned that Xenoverse 2 would be making its way to the latest Nintendo console, but had only provided a Fall time frame. Now Bandai Namco has officially confirmed that the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Nintendo Switch title would be making its way to the platform September 22 of this year.
The Nintendo Switch version of this game is set to include a few interesting features, including utilising the technology behind the Joy-Cons. Players can now fight another person on the same system by using the Switch specific controllers to bring the fighting experience to multiple people in the same room. This features will also include up to 6 players locally, so fighters can get their Kamehameha on without lugging around additional consoles.
There was no clear confirmation if the Switch port would include all of the additional content that has been released since the game’s release a year ago on other platforms. The additional content may be included as a bundle pack, included as purchasable content – or even not included at all. Bandai has yet to release the specifics around the release but between Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball FighterZ, it’s a good time to be a fan of the fighting anime.
