A Look at Four of the Variant Covers for the Tie-In Comics to Mass Effect Andromeda
It’s no secret that the Mass Effect franchise has a cult following that includes not only a fantastic video game line, but also corresponding comics and books, as well. Just like the previous trilogy had Andromeda’s sequence will also hold new adventures in the form of comic books and subsequent novels. Pair that with the amazing line of collectibles that followed, and it’s no wonder why Mass Effects are very happy (but also very broke).
We’ve previously reported that Dark Horse is taking Andromeda down its own path for comic fans with Mass Effect: Discovery. The narrative will follow Tiran Kandros, the Turian soldier players meet in the game Andromeda. Kandros leads the militia on the Nexus and the comic Discovery shows fans how he came to be in his position, with some epic adventures along the way.
A young Turian military recruit goes undercover in order to infiltrate the mysterious Andromeda Initiative—and ultimately retrieve a scientist who’s made a potentially devastating discovery. Tying in to the highly anticipated release of Mass Effect: Andromeda, writer Jeremy Barlow and artist Gabriel Guzman team up to create the next exciting chapter of the Mass Effect comics series!”
You can also see the preview images from the comic here. As far as what adventures await fans of Andromeda, we’ll have to wait until the first issue drops on May 24th. The comics themselves will be published by Dark Horse with a team of Gabriel Guzman, the artist, and Jeremy Barlow, the writer. Check out the four beautiful variant covers below to see this story with a classic Pulp vibe, both Salarians and Asari alike – Turians can’t have all the fun.
