Latest Uncharted 4 Update Expands Multiplayer – Adds Lost Legacy Character and More (VIDEO)
While Naughty Dog intended for the Nathan Drake story to meet its conclusion in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, the developer will be continuing the adventure of the treasure hunter’s world with the upcoming spin-off titled Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, focusing on the characters Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross. Even so, Naughty Dog has still opted to maintain support for Uncharted 4 with additional content more than a year after its release. As such, they will soon release a new batch of goodies with the latest Uncharted 4 update with the hopes of promoting Lost Legacy.
As seen above, the video from the official PlayStation YouTube channel shows the contents of the new update coming to Uncharted 4 on PlayStation 4 on August 22nd, the same day that the Lost Legacy also releases. The biggest piece of the new update is the addition of the Survival Arena mode, which will have players battle against waves of enemies including enemy types new to the series, as well as other modifiers. Players who complete the waves will be rewarded with various in-game prizes such as the Savage Starlight Skeleton skin.
To tie in with Lost Legacy, the DLC also includes a new character introduced in the new spin-off game. The antagonist from Lost Legacy, Asav, will now be playable in the Uncharted 4 Survival and Multiplayer modes and will speak “uniquely menacing VO”. The downloadable content will also include alternate Chloe and Nadine skins based on their looks in the game. It’s good to see that even with a brand new project on their agenda, Naughty Dog is remaining loyal to players of its previous title with DLC that will hopefully be treasured by its audience.
