Total War Saga: Troy Leaked Via Trademark Filing
The first Total War Saga game, Thrones of Britannia, blended Total War’s masterclass RTS gameplay with fantastic recreation of Classical Era British Isles history. Developer Creative Assembly added the saga label to bring more games like this to certain players. While RTS is typically thought of as a multiplayer game genre, there are many games from the genre featuring substantial single-player content. Games like Company of Heroes, World in Conflict, and the StarCraft franchise all feature robust campaign modes. Now many Total War fans are wondering what to expect from the series after the release of Three Kingdoms this year. They might not have to wonder for very long.
In a post on the series’ official subreddit, a user posted a link to a new trademark filing from Creative Assembly. It was for something called “Total War Saga: Troy” and is most likely the next Saga game. Most people might be familiar with the setting as it was the subject of a Brad Pitt-led retelling of the Achilles myth. The Fall of Troy takes place during the Bronze Age and Trojan War. Greek settings have been covered in the series before in Rome Total War however those games never depicted the region in this early a time period. While we probably won’t know more for a while, you can get Total War Three Kingdoms now on PC.
