The Last of Us Part II Soundtrack Gets A Vinyl Release, Pre-Orders Available Now

Sony kicked off their E3 2018 presentation with a very elaborate theme set around The Last of Us Part II.  In the trailer, we saw Ellie share a tender moment with her partner to the tune of some folk melodies. As a matter of fact, it looks like Naughty Dog and Mondo will be collaborating for a vinyl release of the soundtrack.

Side A contains “Little Sadie” by Crooked Still, the song played during the church scene where Dina and Ellie danced. While Side B has “The Last Of Us (Cycles)” by Gustavo Santaolalla, the composer of the game. Here’s the official description for the vinyl release:

Mondo, in conjunction with Naughty Dog are proud to present a limited edition pressing of music from the forthcoming video game THE LAST OF US PART II. Pressed on Blue Vinyl with Black Swirl, and housed in a gatefold 7-inch Jacket.”

In other The Last of Us Part II news, fans saw some thrilling and stealthy gameplay where Ellie goes on a brutal tear against a group of Seraphite enemies. The trailer did an excellent job of echoing the balance between moments of savage violence and relate able human drama that so many players enjoyed from the first game; it’s nice to see the game will carry this same sort of tone in its gameplay.

Pre-orders for the vinyl release are available now on Mondo’s official online listing. The release should be a worthy collection for anyone looking forward to The Last Of Us Part II and anyone that just likes collecting cool vinyl. While we don’t know when exactly The Last of Us Part II is coming out, there will surely be more information on what we can expect in the near future.
