Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles DLC Now Available To Everyone In Injustice 2 (VIDEO)
NetherRealm Studios brought one shell of an exciting time for Injustice 2 fans when they announced the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as the final members of Fighter Pack 3. The heroic foursome have since been shown off in spectacular fashion, and subsequently released for those who purchased the Season Pass or the Ultimate Edition of the game. Those who hadn’t pre-purchased through these means were left waiting until the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles DLC released for everyone, but now that day has finally come.
Time to slice up some pizza because the shelled martial artists known as Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo are now ready to battle DC’s superhero roster in Injustice 2. All four fighters are available to purchase on each platform’s respective store for $9.99, or free of charge for those who already bought the Season Pass or a special edition of the base game.
The Ninja Turtles make their way into the game as a four-in-one fighter, enabling a choice between each distinct character from the fighter select screen. When the battle eventually ensues, players are able to pull off a multitude (emphasis on ‘tude) of tag-team maneuvers, culminating with a shell-shocking Super Move finale. Turtle power indeed!
Now that the final members of Fighter Pack 3 have been released, the hype train is currently on idle for the time being. Outside a few cruel, cruel jokes from NetherRealm’s Ed Boon, no future character packs have been hinted at. However, given Injustice 2‘s tournament presence and general public popularity, another slate of new fighters wouldn’t be too far fetched to expect. Injustice 2 is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
