Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Will Offer Exclusive Spirits For Pokemon: Let’s Go Players
In just a few more days, the wait for the newest iteration of the Super Smash Bros series will finally be over for Nintendo Switch owners. Super Smash Bros Ultimate promises the biggest, most comprehensive version of the franchise yet, and will easily be one of the bestselling titles for the Switch. The game interestingly arrives just a few weeks after two other major exclusive Nintendo Switch games, Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee. It seems the company has decided to take advantage of some proper cross-promotion between the two games as Nintendo has confirmed exclusive spirits for Pokemon Let’s Go players.
In Super #SmashBros. Ultimate, those with save data for Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! will unlock the Partner Pikachu Spirit, and those with save data for #PokemonLetsGo, Eevee! will unlock the Partner Eevee Spirit! They can be unlocked by completing challenges too! pic.twitter.com/Sx4xIpCXwn

The exclusive Super Smash Bros Ultimate spirits were revealed recently on the official Nintendo of Australia and New Zealand Twitter account. For those unaware, the new story mode of Super Smash Bros Ultimate has a new feature called Spirits, in which the player can retrieve the ethereal essences of characters seen before in games on Nintendo platforms, which provide statistic boosts to the player’s character in the story mode. These act much like stickers have in previous Smash games.
According to the new tweet, if a player has save data from Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu, they will receive a special partner Pikachu, or an Eevee if the data is from Let’s Go Eevee. The Pikachu edition slightly increases attack and speed, while the Eevee counterpart increases various stats after eating. These spirits are a neat little surprise for those that own both the recent Pokemon games and Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
Hopefully, Pokemon fans will use their same hunting skills to catch all the spirits in Ultimate as well. What do you guys think about these exclusives for Super Smash Bros Ultimate?
