Super Smash Bros Ultimate Confirms SNK’s Fatal Fury DLC (VIDEO)
Nintendo’s most recent Direct presentation has laid out a number of big games slated to release before the year is done, confirming the likes of Overwatch and a cross-play-enabled Divinity Original Sin 2 are set to release sooner rather than later. Of course, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate also saw its fair share of reveals, showing off an extended look at premiering fighters Banjo-Kazooie, as well as announcing the next one hailing from SNK’s Fatal Fury series.
Revealed in a new trailer, Terry Bogard was confirmed as the next fighter coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The announcement was made in a decidedly nostalgic fashion, the ensuing footage depicting a Smash invitation passing up the pixelated likes of fellow Fatal Fury characters such as Ryo Sakazaki, Nakoruru, and Iori Yagami–all to no avail. Geese Howard even leaps from a building in an attempt to catch the coveted letter before it ultimately lands with the Legendary Wolf himself. Check it out below.
Terry Bogard’s confirmation happens following an especially-intriguing leak on the part of Nintendo, the listing foretelling the arrival of an SNK-related character. Outside the aforementioned announcement, not much else is known about the red-clad fighter’s addition to the roster, but the Fatal Fury collaboration is confirmed to happen sometime in November 2019. Beyond revealing the game’s 4th DLC fighter, Nintendo went on to confirm much more DLC is now in development for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
