Next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC Character Rumored to Be From SNK Game

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character rumors are still coming frequently as two more characters are still yet to be revealed from the character pass. While many folks are still holding out hope for highly requested favorite such as Goku and Crash Bandicoot, we may finally have an indication of what to expect.

Twitter user @PushDustin noticed a page on the Nintendo UK website that showed details for a new Smash Bros. fighter with the copyright legalese listing venerable video game company SNK.

SNK is known for many classic games such as King of Fighters, Samurai Showdown, and Metal Slug; as well as the iconic Neo Geo arcade cabinet. While any one of these games has awesome characters to draw from, it may be more than likely Smash players will see a character from either King of Fighters or Samurai Showdown.

The game already features classic fighting game characters Ryu and Ken from the Street Fighter series. Perhaps Sora Ltd. is thinking of mimicking those Capcom fighters’ inclusion by bringing in Terry and Andy Bogard from various SNK fighting games? Super Smash Bros. Ultimate includes mechanics for Ryu and Ken that if Players can mimic the quarter-circle inputs for their moves, the attacks will be more powerful. The same design philosophy could be applied to the Bogard brothers as well since some of their moves in KoF and Fatal Fury games require quarter-circles as well.

Are you hoping the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC characters will be from an SNK franchise? If not, who are you hoping will be announced next? Let us know in the comments below!
