We’ve known about Super Nintendo World for a few years now, and the anticipation has been bubbling ever since! Many households around the world grew up on the Mario franchise, and for those willing to take it to the next step – the theme park is almost ready for visitors. Mario’s “dad” Shigeru Miyamoto wants to show us around, so we can catch a glimpse of what’s in store.

The fifteen minute video feature includes Miyamoto taking viewers from the entrance of the Super Nintendo World theme park – the iconic green warp – to the little “secrets” that are waiting to be discovered. For the collector’s out there, there’s plenty of merchandise to peruse as well. Iconic to Japan’s theme parks, they’ve got collectible popcorn buckets too. Check out the tour below:

According to Miyamoto, uncovering interactive parts of the Super Nintendo World theme park is “more fun” if you have a Power-Up Band. “You’ll use it to search for secrets hidden around the park, or to play various activities,” he explained. “The Power-Up Band will record what you do with it at the park! Also, if you scan the QR code on the band, you can link it with the smartphone app and check your status.”

With consideration for travel restrictions and social distancing guidelines in your region, Super Nintendo World opens up in Universal Studios Japan on February 4th. With that said, there are plans for openings in Hollywood, California, Orlando, Florida, and Singapore down the road.
