Super Nintendo World Theme Park Plans For 2020 Grand Opening (VIDEO)

In the most recent financial briefing from Nintendo president, Shuntaro Furukawa, revenue projections and numbers are on a positive rise. Unsurprisingly, the company has taken huge steps recently to reach out into every domain possible, including the increased development of mobile games, Nintendo Switch titles, and the development of an exclusive theme park – Super Nintendo World.

Announced back in December 2016, the Japanese video game giant has ambitious plans of opening Super Nintendo World in time for the Tokyo Olympics of 2020. “Theme park development with Universal Parks &
Resorts is underway,” Furukawa informed. “Construction on the ‘Super Nintendo World’ area at Universal Studios Japan is to open in time for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.” Check out the adorable trailer Nintendo released in 2017:

Universal Studios Japan is renown for its exclusive rides and themed areas, which sets itself apart from their counterpart in the United States. The only catch? They’re typically exclusive to this location. From franchises such as Sailor Moon and Monster Hunter, fans on the other side of the waters won’t be able to see it in the States anytime soon. It’s simply an excuse to travel though, right?
