For those who don’t know, May 4th is also known as Star Wars Day and is commonly referred to as May the 4th. Officially called An Online Revelry: May the 4th Be With you and Revenge of the 5th, the digital event will take place over the course of May 4th and 5th and it will features Q&A sessions and discussions with folks associated with the franchise, including voice actors and writers.

As we’ve seen with other events being made up for by inserting a digital alternative, including Summer Game Fest, it will be interesting to see how the rest of the year plays out. As mentioned above, we don’t know if Star Wars Celebration will remain an in-person event come this August, but if not, the digital space is a good place to have fun without putting others in danger.

The virtual Star Wars convention will kick off on May 4th at 10am ET with a live tweeting of A New Hope with the NY Comic Con Twitter account, and will conclude on May 5th with a live tweeting of Solo: A Star Wars Story by the Emerald City Comic Con Twitter account at 8pm ET.
