“Secret” Metal Gear Solid Project Possibly Teased (VIDEO)

"Secret" Metal Gear Solid Project Teased (VIDEO)

The Metal Gear franchise as a whole looks to be indefinitely on ice for the time being, an especially evident fact following the series’ separation from creator Hideo Kojima and the less-than-stellar reception of subsequent follow-up Metal Gear Survive. However, it now looks like something new is definitely on the way, an apparent tease suggesting a previously unknown Metal Gear Solid project is currently in the works.

This recent bout of speculation comes from Donna Burke, an Australian singer well known to the MGS series for her vocal contributions featured in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Posting on Twitter, Burke shared a video of her preparing a piece of music, the caption teasing a “secret project” that would be “coming soon.” Most telling, the post featured the phrase “kept you waiting huh?!??,” a reference to the famous Big Boss line from MGS5. Check it out below.

While it’s currently unknown what exactly this “secret” endeavor might be, one could surmise that it’ll surely be something music-related. Perhaps a new Metal Gear Solid soundtrack release could be in order, or maybe even a new upcoming MGS-themed concert. Delving further into speculation, it’s also possible that Burke is teasing work for a new game entirely. The phrasing in her tweet would almost surely suggest something for Metal Gear, but it could also be a sly tease for Hideo Kojima’s current project Death Stranding. Whatever the case may be, fans will likely know exactly what this project is for sure sooner rather than later.
