Resident Evil – Code Veronica X is Making a Comeback to the PS4
More retro games are makings its way to the PlayStation 4 from the PlayStation 2 collection. Capcom announced that Resident Evil – Code Veronica X will come to the latest Sony console. In comparison to the original game, hence the title addition with the letter “X”, there have some additions and changes made even though both were first released for the PS2. The news was revealed the official Twitter page for the franchise and beginning May 9th, this classic will be available all across North America and two days later for Europe. Although this may not be great news for everyone, especially for those hoping for an HD remaster, they’re bringing it up to modern consoles. At this time, the title is only a port.

However, additional cut scenes and some enhanced graphics will appear. So, in a way, it’s being proposed as a limited edition version of the original. Even though an HD remastered version arrived to the Xbox 360 and PS3 in previous years, it’s hard to not be disappointed with this news despite the turn back to classics. As evident in the responses to the Tweet by RE_Games, there are quite a few people who were hoping for an eventual PC port to show up. Alas, it is not the case either.
What do you think of Code Veronica X? Do you think an HD remake should have been made a priority? What other installments of the Resident Evil franchise should make it to modern consoles?
