Resident Evil 7 Not A Hero DLC to Star Familiar Face This Spring
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard has been out for one month and fans have been loving it. And by loving it, we mean terrified by it. The millionth game in the franchise has taken things back to its roots while simultaneously breathing new life into the popular series. Hyperbole aside, RE7 appears to be doing just fine in the gaming community and is only being made better by its additional content. Two DLCs have already dropped since its release. Banned Footage Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 released on the PS4 on January 31 and February 14, respectively. Since they were timed exclusives, they have only just recently made their way to other platforms. Up next is the Not A Hero DLC, and it has just been announced that it stars a familiar face:

That familiar face is none other than Chris Redfield. The fan favorite character has been peppered throughout the franchise since the beginning, with the Not A Hero DLC being his newest appearance. There are no details pertaining to what you’ll be doing as Redfield, but if the ending of RE7 is any indication, things should get interesting. If you have played or seen the ending of the latest game, you’ll know that the title’s protagonist Ethan Winters is rescued by a mercenary with the name Redfield. Speculation went crazy because when the camera pans out, we see that the helicopter taking Ethan, Redfield, and others is sporting an Umbrella Corporation logo.
What is different about this logo, however, is the fact that it has white on the cardinal directions, whereas the Umbrella Corporation logo we are familiar with has red. This could be tying the Not A Hero DLC into previous parts of the franchise. It could also be some alternate universe because what in the hell is Chris Redfield doing in an Umbrella Corporation helicopter?! That thing better be stolen! On the other hand, it is meant to be a different story, so it is safe to say that we can expect a twist or two. The Not A Hero DLC for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is free and will release this spring. Here’s a little gallery to hold you over until then:
