Resident Evil 2 Mod Replaces Mr. X With IT’s Pennywise (VIDEO)

Resident Evil Pennywise

Resident Evil 2 may have been released earlier this year, but the modding community is still showing the game some love. Of course, as many of you may know, modders took a liking to Mr. X almost immediately, replacing the massive monster with all sorts of characters. Luckily, that trend has not ceased as a recent mod brings in IT’s Pennywise to fill in the shoes of the big baddie.

With the release of IT: Chapter Two in theaters, this has inspired modders to bring the horrifying shapeshifting creature to Resident Evil 2. While he remains in clown form, Pennywise certainly brings the creepiness with him as he hunts down players in Mr. X’s place. Needless to say, there is no shortage of terrifying goodness with Pennywise roaming around the game.

The mod in question, which can be seen in the video above, was created by Marcos RC on YouTube. For more on Resident Evil 2, here’s a brief description:

“In Resident Evil 2, the classic action, tense exploration, and puzzle-solving gameplay that defined the Resident Evil series returns. Players join rookie police officer Leon Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield, who are thrust together by a disastrous outbreak in Raccoon City that transformed its population into deadly zombies. Both Leon and Claire have their own separate playable campaigns, allowing players to see the story from both characters’ perspectives. The fate of these two fan-favorite characters is in players hands as they work together to survive and get to the bottom of what is behind the terrifying attack on the city. Will they make it out alive?”

Resident Evil 2 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. What do you think about the latest mod that brings Pennywise to the game? Sound off in the comments section below, and be sure to follow DFTG on Twitter for live gaming and entertainment news 24/7!
