Last year, Rockstar Games announced the fine details that went into the production of Red Dead Redemption 2 ‘s official soundtrack, the hard work, sweat, and tears of the people behind the inspiring music that paved the way for momentous occasions in-game. Not only did it win an award for best soundtrack during the Game Awards in 2018, the studio announces the impending release this Spring.

Originally scored by the same man who composed for the Grand Theft Auto series, L.A. Noire, and other projects in films and records, he worked alongside other legendary music industry professionals such as Willie Nelson, D’Angelo, Jeff Silverman, Colin Stetson, and several others. Aside from the Spring release window, there isn’t much in ways of details as to the medium in which they’ll present the official Red Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack.
Vinyl has made a resurgence in recent years with the rise of retro re-releases, remakes, and throw-backs to old school nostalgia. While this is purely speculation on my part, it will likely launch with a vinyl version sometime down the road. With that said, chances of its availability for digital download upon release is high. For the time being, folks living in the Los Angeles, California area can enjoy the Red Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack in-person during the Red Bull Music Festival in L.A.
