Red Dead Redemption 2 Delayed Until 2018 – New Screenshots to Tide Us Over (GALLERY)

With previous reports, and one goof-up in an interview, pointing at a release around the same time as Destiny 2 – hopes were crushed everywhere with the announcement from Rockstar Games about the game’s status. The team behind the title has officially confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed until Spring of 2018. Here’s what the team had to say:

We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer. In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of new screenshots from the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.”

To tide fans over, they did supply a few new screenshots to give gamers world-wide a sneak peek at what is to come. Pair that with the previous trailer and more info that keeps filtering in, the wait will be worth it to make sure that this beloved franchise is done correctly and it meets previously set expectations. Check out the gallery below for the never before seen screenshots:

What do you think about the news of Red Dead Redemption 2 delayed until 2018? Seems like a smart move, especially with the hype surrounding the newest title. With E3 around the corner, perhaps we’ll see even more from the team. For more news on Red Dead and other gaming goodness, don’t forget to follow us on Twitter for all things pop culture 24/7!
