Red Dead Online Is Available Already For Some
Unleashing players’ inner desperado is currently all the rage in the wild west of Red Dead Redemption 2, with oodles of rootin’ tootin’ shootin’ around the game’s map ’til the cows come home. Even with an experience bursting with content, anticipation still lingers for Rockstar Games’ previously teased multiplayer mode known as Red Dead Online.
The launch date for the anticipated online component was slated for a late November release, a window that narrows considerably by the day. However, it now looks as though the mode’s arrival is just around the corner. According to Ultragamerz (via Dualshockers), a number of achievements have been discovered for Red Dead Redemption 2’s long-awaited online service, with rewards such as “Breakout” and “Gun for Hire” appearing alongside the game.
Close inspection reveals that 0.01% of Red Dead players have earned these in-game achievements so far, indicating that a lucky few have already taken part in the Old West festivities. Of course, these handful of players are almost surely developers or testers, but both would still suggest the same conclusion: the release of Red Dead Online is nigh!
As for what we can expect for when Red Dead Online eventually drops, it’s currently up to the remaining 99.9% of gamers to guess. However, one can draw the conclusion it’ll likely retain similar gameplay and mission structure as the main single-player campaign; similar to how Grand Theft Auto V relates to GTA Online. Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Red Dead Online is expected to drop within the week.
