Rayman Legends Has New Surprises on Nintendo Switch According to Michael Ancel
There’s only a few short weeks left until the Nintendo Switch hits store shelves everywhere. With it, plenty of announced games will be launched with the title, and several more coming throughout the next year, many of which fans are super stoked about getting their hands on. One title, Rayman Legends, has also made an appearance on the console’s upcoming titles list which many gamers may be a little confused about. Rayman Legends came out back in 2013 and didn’t exactly fly off the shelves. Because of this lack of enthusiasm for the game’s initial launch, it seems strange for Nintendo to put effort into an older title, when games like Splatoon 2 are hyping up fans everywhere with an announced global demo coming shortly after the console’s release.
According to game creator, Michael Ancel, there’s a very good reason why Rayman Legends is dropping again:
The Nintendo Switch is a modern, powerful and social-oriented, cooperative console, so we are preparing several surprises for this version. There is a special game in Rayman Legends, Kung Foot, which is exactly in the Nintendo Switch spirit. We are preparing other surprises because the console has a lot of qualities in the multiplayer area.
In an interview with Nintendo, Ancel expressed that there’s quite a lot of new goodies added to the vanilla title that should entice fans to give it a go. He doesn’t go into major detail about exactly what to expect, but from the sound of it, these surprises might actually make it worth picking up the game again. If you’ve never purchased a copy of Rayman Legends this year might be a good time to consider actually trying it out, since the game launches sometime in 2017! The Nintendo Switch continues to offer up new and exciting updates for loyal fans everywhere. Recently, the Nintendo Switch Touchscreen was also revealed to gamers, showing off exactly how interactive the brand new console is going to be. Combined with the re-release of Rayman with some major additions to the game, and the touchscreen functionality of the system, it looks like Nintendo definitely has a winner of a system in the bag for gamers everywhere!
