Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 Announced By SEGA (VIDEO)

SEGA announced Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 during Gamescom 2020, the sequel title between the adorable Puyo Puyo and addicting Tetris. Coming to all major platform including next generation consoles, get ready for the “ultimate puzzle match” this December. Check out the announcement trailer below:

Travel through different dimensions to stack, chain, and combo your way to defeating each challenge in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. The sequel will feature a new story, new and returning characters, and encourage players to deploy new strategies that utilize item cards. There’s a Skill Battle game mode that introduces character-based skills and item cards to adjust to our personal style.

Since the original game’s release, Sega and team have improved their competitive online game modes as well, offering game-specific leagues and free-play for up to four players, and ranks. With the kinds of sound effects and charming visual effects in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, it’s like being in a casino without the gambling addiction and consequences!

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 launches December 8th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch. There’s a limited edition physical release available for pre-order now for all console platforms as well. To jump-start your purchase, head on over here.
