The Second PUBG Xbox One Update Is Here Featuring Optimizations, Bug Fixes, And More
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds released for the Xbox One a mere week and a half ago, and already the console port of the battle royale game has received two Xbox One patches, the first of which dealt with some major visual and performance issues that had many players pining once more for the more optimized PC version of the title. The second PUBG Xbox One update – available now – isn’t nearly as large as the first patch, though it features a few much-needed quality of life improvements that should make gameplay just a bit more manageable.
Easily the most important part of the new update is the introduction of multiple crash fixes, an issue that has plagued both PC and Xbox One versions of PUBG when both versions launched. In addition to said crash fixes, the PUBG Xbox One update also features reduced recoil for all weapons for the Xbox One, while at the same time allowing for a greater tuning range for general sensitivity. The full patch notes for the update can be found below:
PUBG Xbox One Update #2
Optimization
- Continued performance optimizations
In-game
- The tuning range for the general sensitivity option has been expanded
- Weapon recoil reduced across the board (Xbox Only)
- Team UI will now correctly display voice chat status
- Additional Localization updates
Bug
- A variety of crash fixes
- Fixed an issue where casting bar UI remains onscreen when spectating a target who died while using an item from their inventory
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is now available for PC and Xbox One. The latest PUBG map – Miramar – as well as climbing and vaulting arrived on the PC version of the game with Version 1.0, though the Xbox One version of the game currently only has access to the latter, with the former likely arriving within a few months.
