With only hours remaining until the decade comes to a close, people in the gaming community are getting excited to see what the future holds. This is particularly true when it comes to the next generation of consoles. Microsoft has already revealed the powerful next Xbox, but Sony has remained quiet on the PS5 front. That said, they may have just teased something big for next week.

Sony recently added a small blurb to their website about their appearance at CES 2020, which is set to take place on January 6, 2020. “The future is coming,” reads the Sony website. “At CES 2020 Sony is unveiling a unique vision of the future, bringing creativity and technology together like never before, to unleash new sensations and emotions.” Needless to say, many think this has something to do with the upcoming PS5.

Of course, it is best to take this with a grain of salt. The Consumer Electronics Show isn’t exactly known for having a large gaming presence. In addition to this, Sony still has a business outside of PlayStation, mainly dealing with televisions and other electronics, so they could very well be referring to that side of things instead of the mysterious PS5. Unfortunately, we will just have to wait until CES 2020 to find out what “future” Sony is talking about.
