PlayStation Play At Home Reveals 10 Free Games Coming Soon
Though there’s a glimmer of a speck of light at the end of the tunnel, the world is still very much in the depths of the COVID-19 pandemic, meaning many people are reserved to staying home for the immediate future. However, Sony has been aiming to make this isolated experience the smallest bit better with a lineup of free games from now until well into 2021. Through the PlayStation Play At Home initiative, users were greeted with some nice initial freebies last month, with even more readying to arrive throughout the next few weeks.
#PlayAtHome update! PlayStation is offering 10 free games to download this spring, including PS4 indie gems, PS VR games, and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Revealed in a new PlayStation Blog post, a total of 10 free games were revealed to be coming to PS4 and PS5 players through to the end of April. Starting next week, March 25th sees a batch of Play At Home freebies drop, with the likes of underwater explorer Abzu, pixelated dungeon crawler Enter the Gungeon, hypnotic shooter Rez Infinite, and undersea survival title Subnautica among the nine total titles being offered. Following up on April 19th, PlayStation players will also be granted access to one of the platform’s most acclaimed games in Horizon Zero Dawn.
The full list of the free PlayStation Play At Home is as follows:
March 25th
- Abzu
- Enter the Gungeon
- Rez Infinite
- Subnautica
- The Witness
- Astro Bot Rescue Mission
- Moss
- Thumper
- Paper Beast
April 19th
- Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition
Seeing so many games being awarded for free is sure to lift the spirits for many PlayStation gamers, especially as it includes the all-in-one Complete Edition for the open-world Horizon Zero Dawn, which just released on PC last year. However, it must be stressed that these free releases are only available for a limited time, with each of the nine March 25th titles going back to their original price on April 22nd and Horizon Zero Dawn’s no-cost status rescinding a few weeks later on May 14th.
This new installment of the PlayStation Play At Home initiative comes after Sony’s promise for four months of free games, which is certainly exciting considering how great the next few weeks are looking. For those who haven’t done so already, last month’s freebie Ratchet & Clank PS4 is still available to claim free until March 31st, with 90 free days of Funimation still on deck for all those anime-junkies out there. With plenty of time remaining for this year’s Play At Home, it’ll be very interesting to see what else might shed its cost over the next few months.
