Peace Island: Solve A Sci-Fi Mystery As A Squad Of Cats (VIDEO)

Cat videos are an internet phenomena and their scheme to employ the human race as their butlers has been a wild success. In Peace Island, however, humans have disappeared. Developed by creator Eric Blumrich and team, the story of this open-world, adventure game allows players to act as a squad of cats to solve the mystery of the missing humans.

Set on a remote island in the state of Maine, Peace Island is a science-fiction mystery game that tells a tale from the perspective of 9 different cats. It is a non-violent, interactive story in which players can focus their energy investing themselves in the narrative-driven, single-player experience. The overarching question being: “Are the humans worth bringing back?” Check out the trailer below for information on gameplay, visuals, and more:

Players will explore 8 distinct cities on Peace Island and have approximately 12 hours of gameplay. Told through the eyes of nine feline characters, each have their own distinct personalities, strengths, and weaknesses. As the island cycles through day and night, characters can interact with various fauna such as mice, birds, and insects as they explore the “multiple divergent storylines.”

The Kickstarter may be over, but fans of Peace Island can still contribute to its development on Patreon. There, supporters can gain access to the independent game’s premiums and alphas just like the rest.
