No More Heroes 3 Touches Down This August (VIDEO)

No More Heroes 3

Following the mini-game-based spin-off Travis Strikes Again, Grasshopper Manufacture has been underway on an official No More Heroes 3 for a while now. Whether it be baffling reveals or lengthy COVID-related delays, fans have been continually left guessing when Mr. Touchdown’s next otaku assassin adventure will finally arrive. However, it appears Nintendo’s latest Direct presentation has now provided an answer, with the anticipated threequel now scheduled to release this August 27th.

Bringing down the threat of super-homicidal aliens, No More Heroes 3 sees top-ranking assassin Travis Touchdown entered into a world-ending struggle against these interstellar fiends. In typical No More Heroes fashion, Travis is compelled into a boss-battling superhero ranking tournament, but he must first complete various chores and odd-jobs around town to afford each round’s exorbitant entry fee. The experience introduces a number of custom and upgradeable skills, including a new and improved Death Glove and the character’s signature beam-katana blade.

The arrival of No More Heroes 3 comes following two years of teasing from developers and after the series’ first two games released for Switch in October 2020. The threequel’s completion is sure to be a cause for excitement, as is the recent confirmation that a large part of the series’ English voice cast is slated to return, with the exception of Henry Cooldown actor Quinton Flynn, who has been replaced by Mark Allan Stewart for the awaited third entry.
