Nioh Complete Edition Coming to PC, Release Date and 4K Support Revealed
As Nioh approaches the game with its last DLC “Bloodshed’s End“, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja are finally revealing news PC gamers have been wanting to hear since its debut for PlayStation 4 earlier this year. Come November, Nioh Complete Edition will be be released on Steam for retail sale. As the name would have it, this version of the game comes with all three DLC: Dragon of the North, Defiant Honor, and Bloodshed’s End. According to a statement by Nioh game director Fumihiko Yasuda, this is exciting news not just for fans, but for the makers themselves:
Team Ninja is well aware of the fact that many gamers have been passionately asking for a PC version of Nioh. I am thrilled to announce that this massocore game will finally be available for our die-hard PC fans in Nioh: Complete Edition! I hope you all enjoy the unforgettable drama and deeply challenging Yokai battles this action-packed experience has to offer.
There will also be Steam-exclusive bonuses like the Dharmachakra Kabuto to celebrate this special occasion, which is a helmet that can be claimed by “selecting ‘boons’ from a shrine” in-game. Of course, you can’t have any of that without the core game as well. Koei Tecmo describes the accessory as a “red-lacquered front crest of an ancient Buddhist symbol depicting the eightfold path to nirvana“. The design is supposed to symbolize enlightenment “by casting off one’s worldly desires” and “the power to banish evil“.
Additionally, Nioh Complete Edition for PC (via Steam) will have two different resolution modes available for players including an Action and Movie Mode. The latter offers a cinematic experience that can handle up to 4K resolution. The aforementioned has a “stable 60 frames per second”.
