Team Ninja reveals a brand new trailer for Nioh 2, an action role-playing game set in feudal Japan. In addition, the team reveal details on the post-launch plans for the game. They plan on releasing three major DLC after it hits shelves in March, covering three different stories that take place before Nioh 2. For more on the new story trailer, check the video below:

In terms of their post-launch plans, creative director of Team Ninja Tom Lee said: “We have three major DLC releases planned, with each focusing on a different storyline that pre-dates the events of Nioh 2, promising hours of additional gameplay that will provide plenty of challenge for those thirsting for more. Similar to the original Nioh, players can expect new weapons, new combat abilities and new characters, with each DLC incorporating both multiple main and sub-missions.

“The three DLC packs are included in Nioh 2’s Season Pass, which forms part of the game’s Digital Deluxe Edition (now available for pre-order). In addition to the main game and DLC, you’ll also get premium in-game items such as the Demon Horde armor set and Kodama Netsuke Charm.”

Set in 1555 feudal Japan, Nioh 2 follows the story of a hired mercenary, a mute rogue recognized across the land as an acclaimed hunter of supernatural beings. Despite their reputation, the protagonist hides a powerful secret has a human and yokai half-breed. With help from a merchant named Toukichiro, he learns to manage the chaos within with the use of mysterious stones. However, another hunter threatens his only means of control.
