Nintendo 64 Classic Possibly Revealed In Leak

Video game console companies are really beginning to cash in on the nostalgia business. With Big N seemingly leading the pack with both the NES Classic and SNES Classic systems, many are confident that the Nintendo 64 Classic is sure to arrive at some point in the near future. That said, Nintendo has been quiet regarding the miniature iteration of a fan-favorite, but it may have just been revealed in a leak.

Reddit user xglacius took to the N64 subreddit to post images of the potential Nintendo 64 Classic. The photos show off what appears to be the standard console, but upon closer inspection, the front ports slide out to reveal the actual peripheral port, which is the same one seen on previous Classic consoles in the Nintendo family. Check it out for yourself below:

It’s worth noting that the source of these images is unknown at this time. In addition to this, we live in a time and age where digital manipulation can be more than convincing if done properly. That said, we recommend keeping the salt at the ready, just in case a Photoshop master is getting all of our hopes up.

Either way, the images look authentic. Is someone within the development team wearing a cape that no one can see? We’ll just have to wait until Nintendo provides official word as to whether or not the Nintendo 64 Classic is inbound. A trademark filing from earlier this year certainly suggests it’s coming. Until we know for sure, keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
