An Exclusive SNES Themed Nintendo 3DS XL Is Coming To North America (GALLERY)

Thought to be an exclusive to Europe, the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) edition of the Nintendo 3DS XL is coming to North America at the right time. Arriving this November, this themed handheld will begin its journey of retail sale in the United States. In fact, it’s already available for pre-order, but it won’t be cheap since prospective consumers will be purchasing a brand new product at the same MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) as a regular one. For $199.99, and for gamers attempting to collect all nostalgic video game items, this will be another piece to add to the collection. It’s certainly a great time to do so with the laundry list of retro items and consoles becoming available once more.

Featured in the gallery above are various shots of the Nintendo 3DS XL SNES Edition in all its retro glory with the beautiful shades of purple and grey switches and buttons. It will be made available to residents in the US on November 27th, 2017 just in time before the hectic holiday shopping begins. On the other hand, this item is an Amazon exclusive so there’s no running to grab a physical item involved! Just make sure to take advantage of Prime shipping or someone you know who has it. It’s no chump change, but perhaps it will be an investment in someone’s happiness? Yes, treat yourself.

The SNES themed 3DS XL does not come with an AC adapter and will have to be purchased separately. Above all, it functions exactly the same as a regular one, but this one comes with a download code for Super Mario Kart (SNES version) upon purchase.
