New Fallout 76 Official Trailer Revealed (VIDEO)
It’s happening! After 24 hours of pure teasing from Bethesda, we FINALLY have our first look at a new Fallout game! We first learned about Vault 76 in Fallout 3, and eventually learned more about it in Fallout 4. Now, we’re getting even more because that is now the confirmed focus for the next adventure to the Wasteland!
According to the official Wiki listing for Vault 76:
“The Vault-Tec terminal in the Citadel lists Vault 76 as a “control” vault, with 500 occupants. The vault was designed to open 20 years after a nuclear war, and was among the seventeen known control vaults, meaning that it was used as a baseline to compare to experimental vaults. It is also mentioned in one of the alien captive recorded logs (no.13) recorded by Giles Wolstencroft, a Vault-Tec official who was abducted while inspecting the vault’s construction site. In Fallout 4, the newsreader in the prologue mentions Vault 76 debuting in 2076 in honor of America’s tercentenary when discussing Vault-Tec’s plans to expand.”
With the original teaser yesterday, fans were going crazy with speculation on what the next entry would be. When Obsidian confirmed they weren’t involved, the potential was narrowed down considerably. Since we have learned about this vault in the past, this gives the franchise a chance to rebuild upon the lore even more.
Some are speculating that it will be a simulator game based off of the video, but on a much MUCH larger scale than Fallout: Shelter. Some are taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on the newest entry being more of a world builder type game versus a pure RPG as is what this series is known for.
E3 is right around the corner, however, and Pete Hines has already promised “more surprises than ever before!” Stay tuned, because we’ll be at the Bethesda event live this year once more to bring you the news first, including more on Fallout 76!
