New Campaign Rumored For Left 4 Dead 2
The popular valve game Left 4 Dead 2 has rumors circulating about a new potential campaign that has yet to be confirmed (or denied). The popular game was released as a predecessor just over a decade ago and has continued their success throughout the years. Fans of the game had hoped for a Left 4 Dead 3 but there have been no reports to establish a third game. In fact Valve has explicitly stated that Left 4 Dead 3 was “absolutely not” in the works at all.
YouTuber Tyler McVicker has released a video that brings into light some unusual activity on private servers. These include access to maps that aren’t available to play by the masses. One of these maps is The Last Stand which features Francis, Louis, Zoe and the beloved Bill in a fight to escape the swarming hordes of undead, leaving you emotionally gobsmacked. The Last Stand to Left 4 Dead fans is one of the most unforgettable campaigns in the game franchise.
The particular server in question had upwards of 17 players on it according to statistics and was password protected. This was shown in analytics which was covered in the video as well. Shortly thereafter the ability to see any form of data in regards to the servers has been restricted. The video then goes on to state that people in the community have claimed to know people who are working on the project, though this is all still speculation.
If these rumors prove to be true then fans of the game should be receiving the content update by the end of the year. It seems that valve may be looking to breathe life into an already successful game rather than just creating something new. Still, all of this has yet to be confirmed and all fans can do is patiently wait to see Valve’s next move. One can only hope that the rumored campaign has truth to it.
