Mental Health Charity Auctioning Custom Avicii Nintendo Switch Lite

Avicii Nintendo Switch

The video game industry has sought to use its success to help support important causes in our world, and one important area that has seen focus in recent years has been mental health. Video game-related charitable endeavors have helped raise financial support for mental health awareness and resources, and Discord has been used to help reach out to those suffering from such issues. Mental health issues, unfortunately, claimed the life of the talented Swedish musician Tim Bergling – known famously as Avicii – back in 2018. To honor Avicii and his legacy, a mental health charity is now auctioning a custom Avicii Nintendo Switch Lite.

Safe In Our World announced the start of the charitable auction on its official website. The organization is offering one of only five of the special Nintendo Switch Lite consoles designed specifically to celebrate the release of the new Avicii Invector game on Nintendo Switch. For just a £5 (roughly $6.37 USD) donation, fans can enter into the raffle to receive this highly rare console. All of the donations in this Avicii Nintendo Switch raffle will support Safe In Our World, which seeks to provide mental health education and resources to gamers and those in the gaming industry, through both play and game development.

For those looking to both continue their support for mental health organizations while also paying tribute to the late Avicii, portions of the proceeds from the sale of the new Avicii Inversion game will also be going to the Tim Bergling Foundation. This foundation was founded by Avicii’s family to educate people about mental illness and to help prevent suicide. We here at Don’t Feed the Gamers believe that mental health is an important endeavor, and we encourage anyone experiencing related issues to seek resources from a group like Safe In Our World and reach out to a trusted love one as well.
