Lizzy Wizzy, Cyberpunk 2077 Character Played By Grimes, Revealed

There’s still a few months of 2020 left, and one of the few bright spots confirmed for the remainder of this abysmal year will be the release of Cyberpunk 2077. After several days, it seems that at long last the game will be within grasp. CD Projekt Red has had a lot of big names assisting them in getting people hyped for the new game, including Keanu Reeves and Elon Musk. Another confirmed celebrity tie-in with the project is musician Grimes, who was confirmed to play a musician named Lizzy Wizzy in the game. Now, CD Projekt Red has revealed the first look at the character.

CD Projekt Red announced the new issue of their Cybr Magazine promoting Cyberpunk 2077 on their official Cyberpunk Twitter account. The tweet unveils the first official look of Lizzy Wizzy, the musician played by Grimes in the game. To celebrate, the character is made the cover model for this new issue of Cybr Magazine, fitting for such a high profile artist. The magazine also features an interview with Grimes regarding her portrayal of the character.

Lizzy Wizzy

Grimes’s character has been described as something of an extended cameo, but Lizzy Wizzy’s backstory will not be without depth. According to Grimes, Lizzy Wizzy gains her predominantly cybernetic form after committing suicide during a performance, but is resurrected through the mechanical implants after being dead for an hour. In the new form, she even manages to miraculously finish the performance. This is quite a dark backstory for such a beautifully designed character, and hopefully players find her performance bringing them back to life as well.
