Limited ‘Splatoon 2’ Global Testfire Available on the Nintendo Switch in Late March
Out of nowhere, Nintendo made a surprise announcement for Splatoon fans. Today, the company announced a ‘Global Testfire’ (a.k.a. global demo) for Splatoon 2 that will be available for console owners in late March. This means everyone will get a taste of what the sequel will be like and engage in some of that good ol’ cephalopod ink splattering warfare! All Switch owners will have six chances to play with others worldwide, and it will take place over the course of 3 days. Take a look at the trailer below:
The demo will be available between March 24th to March 26th during these times:
March 24th (Friday)
- 12:00pm – 12:59pm PT
- 8:00pm – 8:59pm PT
March 25th (Saturday)
- 4:00pm – 4:59pm PT
- 12:00pm – 12:59pm PT
- 8:00pm – 8:59pm PT
March 26th (Sunday)
- 4:00am – 4:59am PT
Looking at the chart, you might be confused. Unfortunately, each demo will only last an hour, but you’re given 6 different chances to try them out – if it fits within your schedule. According to Nintendo, the contents of this ‘Global Testfire’ will be similar to the one offered during the Nintendo Switch Preview Tour. Each player will get a chance to test out 4 new weapons, including the Splat Dualies, and remixed versions of the Splat Roller and Splat Charger.
Not sure how to get your hands on the Splatoon 2 demo? Once a Switch is in your possession, all you have to do is check out the Nintendo eShop. It will be there for your viewing pleasure, that is, until the event kicks off.
Will you be participating in the Splatoon 2 Global Testfire? Have you already pre-ordered your very own console?
