League of Legends Partners With Louis Vuitton For Luxurious Champion Skins
Historic French fashion company Louis Vuitton is collaborating with Riot’s League of Legends to create both unique championship skins and real-world designs of the League of Legends 2019 World Championship, which kicks off in Berlin on October 2nd. The news comes by way of the League of Legends Nexus website, which revealed that Louis Vuitton will also be developing a “one-of-a-kind Trophy Travel Case” for the big event. This will be the first travel case designed for an eSports championship trophy. Louis Vuitton has been known to design travel cases for the World Cup and French Open trophies.
This year’s Championship skins will also be designed by Louis Vuitton’s artistic director of women’s collections, Nicholas Ghesquiere. The skins will be unique to the 2019 champions, however there are no images yet of what they will actually look like. With a reputation like Louis Vuitton’s, they are sure to be luxurious.
The League of Legends 2019 World Championships will take place from October 2nd through November 10 in Berlin, Madrid, and Paris. Wondering what the World Championship is all about? Here’s the breakdown:
“The League of Legends World Championship (also known as Worlds) is a yearly international tournament that brings together the top teams from each league in a battle to hoist the Summoner’s Cup and earn the title of World Champion. The event moves between host regions each year; this year, teams will battle it out on a tour of three cities across Europe.”
