The world lost a legend earlier this year when the filmmaker George A. Romero passed on at age 77. He will live on forever through his horror films and fans, but movies were not the only thing he was known for. Romero also made an appearance in the video game world by playing himself and a zombie in Call of Duty: Black Ops‘ Call of the Dead Zombie map. Now Techland made the decision to honor the master of all things terrifying, by including a memorial in the latest Dying Light update.

The Dying Light team posted a video to Twitter a little over a week ago, highlighting an in-game mural that honors the Night of the Living Dead Writer/Director. The whole scene is complete with lit candles and saluting zombies, who are paying tribute to “The Master”. Check out the short video below for the memorial of the “Father of Zombies” that players can find with the latest Dying Light update.

This really sweet mural can be found somewhere around Jaffar’s Garage in the game. It should be pretty easy to find so players can pay tribute to the horror legend themselves. Just look out for any wandering zombies who haven’t finished paying their own respects! Dying Light is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
