Labyrinth the Board Game is the Real Deal and Will Be Available This November!
In 1986, we were introduced to the fantasy filled adventure movie called Labyrinth. We watched 15 year old Sarah fight her way to the castle beyond the Goblin City to take back the child that the late David Bowie’s character, Jareth, had stolen. Well now you can live the adventure in a whole new way with Jim Henson’s, Labyrinth: The Board Game. River Horse and the Jim Henson Company have made all our wishes come true and they have the power over us.
The Labyrinth board game includes:
- Game board illustrated with everything from the bog of eternal stench to Jareth’s castle.
- 30 plus game tokens.
- 6 reference cards.
- Humongous, Goblin Infantry, Goblin Calvary and Goblin Artillery card stand ups.
- 5 collectible figurines of the main characters: Sarah, Jareth, Ludo, Hoggle, and Sir Didymus.
- 32 Labyrinth cards.
- 6 polyhedral dice.
- 4 character sheets, ability cards, and weakness cards.
- Goblin clock and hand.
- A rules booklet.
The Labyrinth board game is different every time you play. You fill the blank card spaces with the monsters and encounters from the deck of cards that is included so there’s many alternative ways that the game can play out. There are two different stages to the game. In the first one the group must fight through the Labyrinth to find the Goblin City without letting their willpower drop causing them to end up in the Oubliette. In the second stage your group fight’s their way into Jareth’s castle to save Toby from the Goblin King by saying the magical words.
It’s being released November 18th, same day as the new movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and the cost is $59.99 on Amazon. As a major fan of the Labyrinth movie, you can bet I’ll be getting Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: The Board Game. What about you? Let us know in the comments below if you too plan on buying this game.
