Kingdom Hearts VR Coming Today, For Free! (VIDEO)
The Kingdom Hearts games are known for their fantastic characters, fun gameplay, and increasingly on-point visuals, but what would this magical combination look like in the immersive space of VR? Well, it looks like Sony is finally allowing us the opportunity with today’s release of Kingdom Hearts VR Experience for PlayStation VR.
Originally slated for Holiday 2018, the virtual reality title has since become victim to a series of delays, even surpassing last month’s release of Kingdom Hearts III. Reaching the end of February, it seems the game has finally landed on a solid date, today, PlayStation revealing the news via Twitter just yesterday afternoon.
Confirmed! Kingdom Hearts: VR Experience launches tomorrow for #PSVR… for free! pic.twitter.com/ZabQdC5OTc

Back when Kingdom Hearts VR Experience was originally announced, the PlayStation Blog teased a unique means for fans to “relive some of their favorite memories from the storied franchise with this special, immersive experience.” The description touted “a free 10-minute interactive video featuring the series’ iconic, breathtaking music. While we won’t spoil exactly what you’ll experience, we can confirm that you will also be able to unlock new content as you keep playing!”
As seen in the above trailer, the game definately doesn’t seem like a full VR iteration of the game in the same like of Borderlands 2 VR, instead providing a short, standalone fan experience. Those willing to give Kingdom Hearts VR Experience a try can currently get it from the PlayStation Store for the price of $0.00 USD, a.k.a FREE.
