Kena: Bridge Of Spirits Delayed Until Q1 Of 2021

Kena Bridge of Spirits PS5 Reveal

Ember Lab, developers of the story driven action-adventure game Kena: Bridge of Spirits has released a statement on Twitter delaying the release of the game until Q1 of 2021. In the statement it mentioned that working from home was a reason that development from the game has moved slower than anticipated.

The tweet also dictates that the delay in release was to best ensure the well-being of the Ember Lab team as well as the game and will allow more time to deliver a fully realized and polished product that will meet fan expectations.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is not the first game to be delayed to new work-from-home conditions placed upon many game developers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Other titles such as Deathloop, Chivalry 2 have been delayed for similar reasons and just this week No More Heroes 3 direction Goichi Suda tweeted that the game would be delayed until 2021 as well.

The story for Kena: Bridge of Spirits follows a young Spirit Guide named Kena who travels in search of a sacred mountain shrine while she struggles to unearth the secrets that surround an abandoned village nestled within an overgrown forest where roving spirits are confined. Kena will also build a team consisting of Rot, which are small spirits that keep the balance through the decomposition of “dead and rotting elements”. The game can be played on PS4 PS5 and PC through the Epic Games store.
