Jurassic World Evolution 2 Announced For Release This Year (VIDEO)
For almost as long as video games have been around, the tradition of movie tie-in video games has been practiced. While tie-in games for blockbuster movies are somewhat less common these days, there are still some films that receive the multimedia treatment. Big franchises like Star Wars still see tie-in games created to help build the worlds of these series. One such recent case has been Jurassic World, which saw a return to tie-ins with Jurassic World Evolution a few years ago. Now, Frontier Developments has announced the sequel, Jurassic World Evolution 2, which comes in time before the latest film’s release.
Frontier Developments recently announced Jurassic World Evolution 2, and has provided details about the new game on their official website for it. The sequel will follow the management simulation gameplay style of the first game, with new features and modes that fittingly evolve the series in fresh ways. This game will have players leave the Muertes Archipelago and build parks in new types of climates, including sea and desert climates. There will also be new species of dinosaurs available for these parks, including new flying and marine-based dinosaurs. The new single player campaign will also feature voice work from key actors reprising their roles from the films. Jeff Goldblum is back as Dr. Ian Malcolm, as is Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, to help guide players in their park-building adventure.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 will also feature a new Chaos Theory mode, in which players will get to see how they might have handles specific dangerous scenarios in the park that happened in the films, and if their efforts might have actually changed the course of the film’s narrative. The sequel will also see various technical improvements for the series as well. Some may not have expected to see Jurassic World Evolution get a sequel so soon, but it seems that life found a way.
