Hitman 3: Seven Deadly Sins DLC Series Announced, Begins Next Week

After years of having the Hitman franchise published by outside parties and companies, IO Interactive has made a bold step in self-publishing their latest entry in the series. Hitman 3 launched earlier this year to generally favorable critical response and decent initial sales figures. With IO Interactive’s road map for the game disclosed earlier this month, it is quite clear that the publisher/developer is looking to support the game for quite some time to come, though apparently not the fullest extent known before now. IO Interactive has announced a new Hitman 3 Seven Deadly Sins DLC series for the game.

As reported by Game Informer, IO Interactive announced the new Hitman 3 Seven Deadly Sins DLC series on their official Hitman Twitter account. The Seven Deadly Sins DLC will consist of seven acts, the first of which is arriving in less than a week on March 30th. Each act can be purchased individually for $4.99, or all seven can be purchased in advance for $29.99. Each act will focus on one of the seven deadly sins, with the first one being Greed. Fittingly, the developer’s road maps will now be referred to as a Season of Sin, though the content will remain the same.

Hitman 3 Seven

The Season of Greed begins in April, and will have players take on new challenges and contracts in exchange for new rewards and items. Among the rewards for this first act of the Hitman 3 Seven Deadly Sins series will be a golden Rapacious Suit, a Greedy Little Coin and The Devil’s Cane. The other six acts will supposedly have unique items related to the other six deadly sins. This is a clever way to make an episodic series of DLC updates that carry a unifying theme in a clever way. Let’s hope the Season Of Glutton gives Agent 47 a hot dog costume.
