Harley Quinn Takes Center Stage in Injustice: Ground Zero (VIDEO)

Don’t you just love it when your favorite mediums of entertainment intertwine in a nice little web of storytelling? No, this isn’t a reference to Spider-man and the Marvel crew; we’re looking at DC’s side of storytelling this time. More importantly, we’re taking a look at Harley Quinn and her starring role in Injustice: Ground Zero, a comic released just yesterday by writer Chris Sebela and drawn by Pop Mhan and Tom Derenick.

Telling the story of the Joker’s gal herself, the comics will delve into exactly if it’s possible for Harley to become “good” after the events of Injustice: Gods Among Us. Ground Zero’s story line bridges the gap between Injustice and Injustice 2, offering up insight to fans on what to expect in the sequel. As a precursor for the comic’s release, DC All Access released a quick video explaining what to look forward to in Harley Quinn’s tale of misdeeds. Check it out here:

This is the first bit of information we’ve been given about Injustice 2 since it’s announcement back in June, so it’s exciting to see that the comics will be giving us a bit more information on the game’s plot than the trailer initially offered. It’s also a nice little way to keep yourself entertained in the Injustice realm as we wait for the game’s launch sometime in 2017. If you haven’t had a chance to check out the first issue yet, check out Amazon‘s listing or your local Barnes and Noble to pick up a copy and get in on the story!

With the release of the newest comic series, and the knowledge that Harley Quinn will be stealing the spotlight for readers, it makes us wonder if there will be a few other unconventional characters in the story. Creative Director Ed Boon hinted that there’s a big possibility we’ll see Watchmen characters in the next Injustice title, so who knows? Maybe we’ll get more hints of that in Injustice: Ground Zero as well. To keep on top of the scoop, check back with us frequently for more updates as we draw closer to that 2017 release.

With all this exciting news coming your way, will you be picking up a copy of Injustice: Ground Zero? Are you excited for Harley Quinn to get her shot in the spotlight? Let us know in the comments below, and game on!
