Hajime Tabata, Director of Final Fantasy XV, Alludes to ‘Giving Back’ in DLCs for 2017
This past year has been an eventful one for the team working on Final Fantasy XV. After approximately 10 years of development and several changes in direction and staff, the game was finally released. The wait has been worthwhile, it seems. It has received rave reviews from companies everywhere, including the team here at Don’t Feed the Gamers. Even companies like Time Magazine and Game Informer have positive commentary on the long-awaited debut. There will always be particulars and personal reactions that gamers and fans will have, however, Director of Final Fantasy XV, Hajime Tabata remains positive even in the face of critique.
Focused on the accomplishments that the team at Square Enix has achieved, Hajime Tabata looks forward to the future. On the official Square Enix web blog, he states:
We, the FFXV team, were able to achieve these things because of the warm and strong support of our fans. I have decided that 2017 is a year of giving back to everyone for their kindness. There are many players enjoying FFXV in various ways, and nothing makes us happier than this. To provide a long-lasting and even more enjoyable experience with FFXV for everyone, we will continue to update the game and release DLC.
Does this mean free or discounted prices for upcoming DLCs and patches in the year 2017? Perhaps there will be giveaways? Announced in December, the team released a Holiday Pack for all players. Meaning, regardless of your status as a Season Pass Holder, free goodies were given out to everyone. From the statement above, one can conclude only a few things…that is, unless they have something else up their sleeve.
