Guild Wars 2 is an online multiplayer RPG and is a unique game in that the story line builds off of your actions during play, despite the fact that it’s a multiplayer game. The base game is free to play thanks to the amount of sales that occurred early on. A Crack in the Ice is the 3rd episode of Living World season 3.

In the Living World Season 3, a pact squadron was ambushed by bandits leading to Squad Leader Bennett and others being taken hostage by Sabetha the Saboteur. Rescue teams were created to save them and eventually Sabetha was defeated and some of the hostages were released while others were still in a different location. The rescue team then finds the rest of the Pact squad and raids the prison camp to save them. Soon they face off with Matthias Gabrel and they best his Bloodstone enhanced powers. Next the squad breaks into the White Mantle’s fortress and defeat Xera and find an empty stasis chamber, smoking with Bloodstone magic hinting that the last Mursaat had been revived.

Starting today, November 21st, the 3rd episode of Living World is officially live. According to the Guild Wars 2 release page,

“Travel to the northern Shiverpeaks, explore the noxious Nightmare Fractal, and make a legendary new friend in Episode 3 of Living World Season 3, A Crack in the Ice!”

In a Crack in the Ice, Taimi thinks that her research can give new insights about the Elder Dragons. Travel through the Shiverpeaks and discover what secrets lay in the Elder Dragon Jormag’s territory. Asura has a new challenge for you in the Fractals of the Mists and there are quality of life updates for World vs. World. You can even build the new legendary shield, Shooshadoo.
