Let’s be real, who DOESN’T want to go to space (don’t ask Matt Damon, that’s cheating)? The Grand Theft Auto 5 space mod that the New Home Cinema modding crew has been working on for awhile now is officially live and ready for action! Take to the streets within GTA once more and them some as the hit Rockstar title gets taken to new heights – literally.

As seen in the launch trailer below, there are a ton of new features to check out, including 11 different planets to explore. The modding team didn’t forget about a good story either, all of the new areas seen within the mod, including the 3 new moons, are connected via one intriguing narrative. Breaking away from the traditional GTA 5 experience, the team over at New Home Cinema wanted to make this mod “more of a platform for experienced developers to integrate scrips/maps and other things into the DLC in order to create content and expand the community experience.” Check out the official release trailer in the video below:

Keep in mind that this is the very same team that brought a little piece of the Uncharted franchise into the world of Grand Theft Auto as well, so the latest addition to their repertoire is understandably impressive!

The Space Mod is currently only available for PC players, but Grand Theft Auto 5 is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and the Xbox 360.
