Santa Monica Studios and Sony have completed a collaboration with Facebook to bring fans a God of War Facebook text-adventure game that will prepare them for the journey ahead. Titled A Call From the Wilds, Santa Monica announced their mini-game on Twitter to “explore the Norse wilds as Atreus on his first adventure.” On this path, fans will get to unlock 8 unique pieces of art that is…”if you make it back home alive.”

Accessible via the Facebook Messenger app or on your preferred web browser, prospective players type in commands to begin the God of War Facebook text-adventure. It’s very reminiscent of text-based titles like the famous Oregon Trail, or Zork. The best news yet? It’s available to play now. To get started, check out the link in the Twitter post below:

There are several different chapters to make it through with the first being “Atreus’ Lessons”, where you’ll begin in a one-room cabin to prepare for what may lie ahead. At any point, players can text “help” or “check inventory” to make sure all their bearings are in-check. Also, it’s free!
