GameStop Leaks Final Fantasy VII Remake For Xbox One

Final Fantasy VII Remake Will Feature A Brand New Voice Cast

It’s been a pretty busy month for Square Enix’s highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake. Towards the beginning of May, the Japanese publisher released an epic new trailer featuring loads of footage from the early parts of the game. More news is also expected to surface this month, with a massive leak suggesting that those lucky enough to be attending E3 2019 will be able to get their hands on the very first demo for the game. Now, a new leak has revealed that the remake, which was initially thought to be a PS4 exclusive, will also be coming to Xbox One.

The leak comes by way of a website listing from GameStop Ireland, wherein screenshots from the Final Fantasy VII Remake are displayed alongside pricing info and the ability to actually pre-order the title for the Xbox One. An image of the leak can be seen below:

It is worth noting that leaks such as these should be taken with a grain of salt. That said, it would be very surprising for a title as prodigious as the FF7 remake to release only on the PS4. Chances are high that, if anything, it will be a PS4 timed exclusive, though even that is currently suspect. The good news is that we likely won’t have too long to wait for more information, as E3 2019 is rapidly approaching, bringing with it Square Enix’s press conference on July 10. Either way, we should at least have a better idea of when the first part of the game will be releasing by the time E3 is wrapped.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is currently in development for the PlayStation 4.
