Fortnite Explosive Damage Reverted After Outcry From Fans

Fortnite

To say that fans were upset by the recent changes to explosive damage in Fortnite Battle Royale would be accurate. After the most recent update to hit the massively popular game arrived, players were quick to note that the new way explosives would react with structures was a bit ridiculous.

According to v6.21, players would be subjected to explosive damage from beyond the wall they might be standing behind. Understandably, the reactions were uproarious and understandable. While Epic is constantly bringing in fresh content for the title, it isn’t all going to be a hit with fans. That is especially true with the recent explosive damage buff.

Luckily, Epic was quick to act upon hearing the outcry of casual players and professionals alike. Design Lead Eric Williamson took to Twitter to inform everyone that the development team would be reverting back to the way it used to be.

The official Fortnite account followed suit, reiterating that the changes would be reverted. Within a few hours of that tweet, explosive damage was back to the way it was prior to the uproar. Epic carried out the act with a hotfix, allowing players to continue carrying out their Victory Royales without a hitch. The glider re-ploy feature is still part of the game, however, and we don’t see the developer giving up on it just as easily.

Fortnite is currently available on Mac, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One, Android, and iOS devices. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
