Final Fantasy VII Remake Gets A 2D Sprite Version Of Its Official Artwork

With the release of the Final Fantasy VII Remake earlier this month, it hasn’t taken fans long to embrace the game and honor it with creations of their own. Earlier, we covered quite the convincing Cloud Strife cosplay, to the point where some of the images look like actual screenshots from the game. This time around, we have our eyes on another artist that has created a 2D animated pixel version of one of the more popular pieces of official artwork from the remake.

Twitter user @Kisuke_010 recently posted a gif of their beautifully crafted 2D pixel art. Going off the official Final Fantasy VII Remake art shown above, the image is absolutely gorgeous, and features Cloud, Barrett, Tifa, Aerith, and Red XIII looking out from the outskirts of Midgar in a scene that is supposed to take place at the end of the game. Check it out below:

Given that the Final Fantasy VII Remake has only been out for about a week now, we can likely expect even more beautifully crafted depictions of our favorite characters and settings from the game as time goes on. After all, it’ll likely be a year or two before we get our hands on FF7R part 2, so why not create something awesome while we wait?

The Final Fantasy VII Remake is now available exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
